The Effects of Our Actions on Others
Be considerate, kind, and empathetic with others in daily life, and they will usually treat you in a similar manner.

Sometimes it is the unexpected things in life that have the greatest impact on our lives. This was certainly true of my Mother. She died at the age of fifty-two. Cancer had issued her a death warrant, but a drunk driver killed her before she even started chemotherapy. My sister was taking her to the hospital when they were hit head on. A tragedy, isn’t it? We had all been devastated to think about her death from cancer, and the decision of a drunk to get behind the wheel of a car snuffed her life out.

We are given a short time here to touch the lives of those we encounter. Our life imprint can be one that creates a sense of love and kindness, and hope and optimism. We do not know how long we have, but we do know what we can leave behind.
Another important thing to remember is that time can only be spent here and now. We cannot save it for some future event. If we don’t use it, we lose it. Is that what you want?
When we look back on the things we have done. we need to feel that they were the most important things we could do at the time. If we do this, maybe some of the insensitive things we would do would not happen. It also increases the chances that the words of kindness on your tongue, may have a chance being said.
There have been many times I have thought about my Mother’s unexpected death and many gentle, kind words she spoke to those people she came in contact with. I think how she made people smile and feel important. She set an example for me to follow and live up to. May you have someone who can show you the way, as well as she did,
Just a kind thought.
