Spiritual Energy in People
You Can Control the Amount of Spirituality in Your Life by Conforming to the Laws that Govern It
By Leland E Pulley
Have you ever gotten a clear impression of a person or formed an accurate opinion about him when you first met? For other individuals you needed more time to observe them for a while before deciding who they really are. Either way, it is possible to learn a lot about others through observation, discernment, interaction, and gathering information about their past. The reason for this is because people reveal a lot about themselves through who they are as individuals, and what they radiate at this time in their lives. To test out what I am saying, answer these questions.
Can you distinguish between people who are happy with themselves and life, and those who are not?
Do you see problems written on the faces of some people and not others?
Think about conversations you have had with people. As you looked into their eyes, did you see happiness or joy, and thus light in some individuals? In other people did you see an emptiness, some depression, anger, or guilt and thus a lack of light in their eyes?
You probably have met people who are good and wholesome, and others who are mean or bad. How did you feel around different persons? Could you feel the difference between the amount of good and evil in their individual lives?
Through time and different experiences, people become who they are as individuals. They radiate a type of spiritual energy that reveals a lot about them. It becomes a holistic report card on their lives up to the present. You can see this spiritual energy in their eyes and physical appearance. It comes out in their facial expressions and body language. Their speech and behavior reveal information about their spiritual nature too. Even personal grooming and the way a person dresses reveal clues about spiritual energy. All these things provide information on what is going on inside the individual.
Spiritual energy is a reality. It is only a matter of the type of energy a person has, positive or negative, and how much of each he has. Some individuals live on a higher spiritual plain than others, which produces more positive energy or spiritual light in them. This shows up in what they radiate under different circumstances and in different situations. Others live on a lower spiritual plain, so they have less energy and thus less light to radiate.
Usually, a person knows his spiritual level if he monitors his thoughts, words, and actions. Being reflective and honest with oneself is helpful as well. Others certainly pick up what he radiates, and in the process, learn who he really is.
How do you feel about yourself and your life? What is your current spiritual level? Here is some information to assist you in judging yourself.
Many things are uplifting and give you positive energy. Here are a few of them.
You are contented with who you are and have peace of mind. You have many good memories and few bad ones.
Positive attitudes, not negative ones, dominate your mental landscape.
Working hard and being productive is part of your daily life. You do not want something for nothing, instead of earning it. You would not cheat to get ahead. Instead, you exercise faith, put forth effort, produce good results, and experience success.
You get involved in good activities and endeavors and support good causes.
Patience, not impatience, is exercised in most situations. You have good self-control. You can control your tongue well.
You like people, enjoy them, and will help them. You can and do forgive others.
You are honest with yourself and others. You would not cheat on your taxes, even if you think you could get away with it.
People will listen to your advice and seek your counsel.
You are happily married and faithful to your mate. You sacrifice to have children and raise them the best you can.
You can approach God in prayer and get answers.
You obey company rules, and the civil laws of the nation.
Your house, yard, car, and office are clean and neat. You are not sloppy and disorganized.
When you accept positive things and internalize them, it is easier to cope with life and move ahead. These contribute to spirituality or raise your spiritual level so you radiate more light to others.
Many other things are a burden and drain positive energy out of you. Consider these questions.
Do you have a lot of frustration, which wears you down?
Are you under a lot of stress, so you cannot seem to solve problems fast enough and get on top of your situation?
Do you have a track record of too much failure and not enough success, so you feel more like a failure than a successful person? This contributes to low self-esteem.
Do you put yourself first, without considering others? Are you selfish?
Will you have sex outside of heterosexual marriage?
Is your behavior often unacceptable?
Are your emotions too sensitive and often work against you? Do you get upset easily when things go wrong? Does your temper easily flare up?
Do you say negative things about others? Do you have negative feelings towards certain individuals and will not let them go? Do you hold grudges?
Do you covet what others have and you do not have? Can you can become jealous of them at times?
When you accept these types of negative things and internalize them, it is harder to cope with life and move ahead. They decrease spirituality or lower your spiritual level, so you radiate less light to others. The real danger is that you will internalize these negatives and with time they will affect other areas of your life. Gradually they will pull you downward.
All the variables above, and many more not given, are clues to help you judge your current spiritual level. To be even more accurate in doing this, consider the intentions of your heart. Do you want to do good things for yourself and others? Then review your major character traits. They reveal a lot about who you really are as an individual. Finally, examine your ways of thinking. How do you look upon things and deal with them?
To raise your spiritual level, you need to recognize that spirituality is governed by laws and principles. When you put your life in harmony with these, your spiritual level goes up. There is no magic to this. You need to be humble, then gain knowledge, and finally be obedient. This opportunity is available to anyone who chooses to take advantage of it. Merely make a decision and do it!
Select some ways to be a better person and work on them. As you make progress, you will find that your burdens in life get lighter, because your ability to carry them gets stronger. You become freer, because freedom is a product of more spirituality.
With time you learn to monitor your spiritual progress more accurately, and your discernment goes up. You find more ways to raise your spirituality, and your spiritual perspective broadens. Both of these helps you become a wiser judge of yourself and your life.
Discernment, perspective, and judgment have many applications in your life. They affect who you will trust, who you select as friends, who you hire, who you marry, who you vote for in elections, who you will help, who you would loan money to if asked, who you would select as a business partner, and who you can trust with your estate.
By getting your own spiritual house in order, you can deal more effectively with others. You are a stronger, more confident, and steady person. You are more informed. You have sharper discernment and more accurate judgment. These things help you to understand others better and be in a stronger position to help them. As you reach out to serve them, the service you render helps them and raises your own spiritual level in the process. It is a win-win situation for both parties.
I challenge you to evaluate your spiritual level. Ask others what you radiate, especially people you live with or work with or who know you well. What negative energy do you radiate at times, and what causes you to radiate it? Determine how can this be diminished. What positive energy do you radiate and what permits you to radiate it? Find ways to increase this.
